Assassin’s Creed 3 (AC3) Remastered Performance Guide – Fix Lag, FPS Drops, Bugs And Stuttering

A lot has changed since the launch of the original Assassin’s Creed III in 2012. The series has gone through a huge overhaul and the new Assassin’s Creed games look way different than the older ones. One of the most noticeable changes in the newer titles is obviously the graphics.

Ubisoft has launched the ‘Remastered’ version of Assassin’s Creed 3. They decided to give the original AC3 title a complete overhaul to match the visuals and performance with the current generation. Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered does not disappoint in bringing the appearance of the 18th-century world and its characters of this 2012 game up to 2019 standards. The texture overhaul is quite visible. But there are still certain gameplay aspects that even this remake couldn’t fix.

We could not deny the fact that everything in the Remastered version of Assassin’s Creed 3 looks way better than the original AC3. Due to the 4k capability being unlocked, buildings, cities, forests, wilderness, everything looks quite alive. Clothing, skin, and hair all benefit from better textures and improved animations.

There is no doubt that Assassin’s Creed III Remastered looks quite promising and might even prove to be a treat to those Assassin’s Creed fans who want to relive some old times. But this doesn’t take away the fact that the Remastered version has some performance issues just like the original AC3 title. Players have been reporting fps lag and stuttering at certain instances. The lag is even more prominent when there is a lot of stuff happening on your screen. For example, fights in crowded places. Therefore, we have cooked up a basic performance guide for you that might fix majority of your fps drop and lag issues. Here is how to fix lag, fps drops, bugs and stuttering in Assassin’s Creed 3 III Remastered:
