Season 22 has finally arrived inside Destiny 2, and the update has brought a fair amount of content to the game. New Exotics, new seasonal activity, a reprised Destiny Raid, and, not to forget, a bunch of Legendary Weapons. Unending Tempest is one of the best Legendary weapons to arrive with Season 22. I would call it a mix between Shayura’s Wrath and Immortal.
Unending Tempest is a 600 RPM Stasis SMG with a Magazine Size of 27. SMGs have been dominating Destiny 2 since the release of Lightfall, and this new addition, only makes it better for the weapon class. Let’s check out the best perks for Unending Tempest:
Unending Tempest God Roll for PvP
Now, the idea of a God Roll can be different for different people. If you ask me, then an Unending Tempest PvP God Roll should be:
Barrel | Hammer-Forged Rifling | +10 Range. This SMG already has good Stability, so we will be focusing on Range. |
Magazine | Accurized Rounds | +10 Range. The Best PvP Magazine Perk available on this slot. |
Trait #1 | Perpetual Motion/Dynamic Sway Reduction | Both perks work really well with Unending Tempest. I personally prefer DSR on my SMGs. |
Trait #2 | Target Lock/Tap The Trigger | Even after the nerf, Target Lock is an S-tier perk on SMGs. Based on the time the weapon is fired on the target, the damage increases. |
Origin Trait | Nadir Focus | When it comes to PvP, Nadir Focus is better than One Quiet Moment. |
Masterwork | Range | Try to get as much Range as possible on SMGs. Otherwise, they will fall short in front of Hand Cannons. |
Mod | Counterbalance Stock | To make the recoil more manageable. |
Unending Tempest God Roll for PvE
Again, the idea of a God Roll can be different for different people. If you ask me, then an Unending Tempest PvE God Roll should be:
Barrel | Fluted Barrel | +5 Stability and +15 Handling. For SMGs, we don’t really need Range in PvE. So try to focus on Handling. |
Magazine | Flared Magwell | +5 Stability and +15 Reload Speed. |
Trait #1 | Subsistence | Can be really useful when there are too many mobs in front of you. |
Trait #2 | Multikill clip/Frenzy/Adrenaline Junkie | Basically, any damage perk will do. |
Origin Trait | One Quiet Moment | Now, in PvE, we don’t really need the Range and Accuracy that we get from Nadir Focus. |
Masterwork | Handling | As I said, Handling is what you should be focusing on for PvE. That +40 Reload Speed from One Quiet Moment, on the other hand, is really useful. |
Mod | Minor Spec | Pretty obvious choice here. |
How to get Unending Tempest in Destiny 2
Most of the Season 22 weapons are easy to get, thanks to Bungie. The same is the case with Unending Tempest. You can get this SMG by playing Crucible. It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose. Just complete the game, and there is a chance this weapon with drop. This is not a guaranteed drop, though, as there are other weapons in the Crucible loot pool, as well. You can also Focus the Unending Tempest from the “Focused Decoding” section at Lord Shaxx.
