How to Fix Crashing and Freezing in Nioh 2
Nioh 2 was released almost a year ago, but it was only for PS4. Now finally the PC version is here, and so is the PS5 version, but we are not talking about that. Important : Before you move forward in this article, make sure that the hardware on your system is somewhat identical to the recommended requirements of Nioh 2 The Complete Edition. There is no point looking the minimum requirements because they will allow you to run the game at 1080p 30fps only, that too at the lowest settings. Here are the Recommended Specifications:

Method #1 – Update your Video Drivers
- If you are using an Nvidia GPU, please use NVIDIA GeForce Experience to check that you are up to date with your drivers.
- If you are using an AMD GPU, please use RADEON Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition to check that you are up to date with your drivers.
Method #2- Verify files on Steam
Every launcher nowadays offers ways to verify the game files of the games, which would repair the corrupted files that might be causing issues. Here is how to do it on Steam.
Go to your Steam Library > Right-click on Nioh 2 The Complete Edition > Click on Properties > Click on the Local Files tab > Select the Verify Integrity of Game Files option
Nioh 2 The Complete Edition is approximately 85 GB in size, so the entire process might take some time. Do not hurry up and cancel the process if it takes time.

So updating your Windows 10 to the latest version is probably the best thing to do at this moment.
Method #6 – Re-install Nioh 2 The Complete Edition (Only if nothing else works)
If none of the fixes mentioned above work for you then this is your last resort. Game installations go wrong all the time. A file might have gone corrupted during the installation process. And that might be the reason why Nioh 2 is crashing for you. So do a fresh installation of the game once.

If none of the methods mentioned above is working for you, then you can be rest assured that it is not a problem from your end. Bugs are glitches are common in every AAA game nowadays. I don’t think I have ever seen a bug free game in my career. So be patient and give the developers some time. I am pretty sure that they will be releasing a patch to fix the crashing issues pretty soon.
