Mortal Kombat 1: How to Farm Dragon Crystals

Even though Mortal Kombat 1 might represent a significant reboot for the legendary game series, NetherRealm Studios has decided to keep much of its systems and faces from the previous instalments the same. This also includes microtransactions.

Yes, you heard it right: Krystals are back. However, like MK11, which has Time Krystals, this time, MK1 has, for its players, Dragon Krystals. So, to ensure you get your hands on the premium goodies as fast as possible, one of the things that you should know is how you can farm Dragon Krystals in Mortal Kombat 1. Keep reading to find out!

Best Way to Farm Koins is MK1

How do you Farm Dragon Krystals in Mortal Kombat 1?

Currently, there are only two known ways players can get their hands on the Dragon Krystals in Mortal Kombat 1. One of them is by simply buying in from the in-game store, and the second way is getting it as a free bonus when you purchase the Premium or Kollector’s Edition of the game.

  • Players can head to the MK1’s in-game store and purchase Dragon Krystals from there in the following given quantities: 500; 1250 (1000+250); 2700 (2000+700); and 5900 (4000+1900).
  • The game’s Premium edition gets you 1250 Dragon Krystals, and the Kollector’s edition gets you 2700 Dragon Krystals.

If Dragon Krystals work the same way as MK11’s Time Krystals, they can earn them in-game. Let us take a look at how it worked in MK11. So, for clearing towers, leveling up, and even completing the Race Against Time events, players obtained the Krystals, given that they were placed high enough on the leaderboard. Similarly, one can expect that through progression and mastery over Towers and Invasions, MK1 might also provide you with Dragon Krystals.

What is the use of Dragon Krystals in Mortal Kombat 1?

What is the use of Dragon Krystals in Mortal Kombat 1

The game’s premium currency is Dragon Krystals. They can be used primarily for in-game purchases of premium gear, skin, and other stuff that a good player would want when wanting to look better than their enemies.

In the game, Gear pieces will cost the players around 300 Dragon Krystals, and one can expect the skin bundles to set them back somewhere around 600-800 Dragon Krystals.

Additionally, players can also buy the Easy Fatality Tokens in bundles of:

  • 5 for 100 Dragon Krystals
  • 40 for 800 Dragon Krystals
  • 100 for 2000 Dragon Krystals

So, no matter if you are looking for a new mask for Scorpion or a new pair of shades for Johnny, you will have to let go of a few Dragon Krystals to get them if taken from the ones in the game’s store.
