Mortal Kombat 1 How to change Skin

The first thing that you probably should know is that you won’t be able to “kustomize” (that’s what it’s called) every character in the game till the full extent of it and hence, make sure that the character that you’re looking to put some slick streetwear on is eligible to do so. Finally, changing the skin of a character is not a tough job at all. You need to look in the right place. Here’s how you could do it:

Head into the main menu and look for the “Kustomize” option. Once you’ve found it, click on it. This will take you to another prompt with features such as Gear, Palettes, Finishers, and Taunts. If you see only one option, and that’s “Palettes”, you’ve equipped a Kameo fighter that doesn’t have many alteration options, some of them- nonetheless.

The first option: Gear will change only a certain part or accessory of the fighter. In the case of Johnny, you’ll be able to change his glasses, Mask, and a few other factors. The option that you should pay attention to is the second one, Palette, where you’ll be able to change the overall outfits and, in some cases, apply some chromas. Some Gear and Palettes are locked by default. However, they can be unlocked by progressing through the game’s story or the Invasions mode.

The game further offers some more outfits or other cosmetics through its in-game shop, and if you find something worth having, you can directly purchase it with the game’s currency: Dragon Krystals. The last two options, Taunts and Finishers, allow you to change your Taunts that you could perform while in battle or the finisher move that you perform once you’ve won the fight. There are a bunch of these out there, too!

Lastly, if you’ve Kustomized your character’s outfit the way you like it, there’s a photo mode in the game that you could use to check out the drip (In the Bottom Right, above the Kustomization UI.)

That’s everything there is to know about how you could change your Character’s Outfit in Mortal Kombat 1.
