How to get Loviatar’s Love in Baldur’s Gate 3
Loviatar is a goddess in Baldur’s Gate 3 and has some aliases, such as the Maiden of Pain, Patroness of Torturers and the Willing Whip. Loviatar is often found in the Torture Chambers, and that’s exactly where you’ll need to look to find her follower Abdirak to get on with the process. A Torture Chamber can be found in the Shattered Sanctum, and to get there, the roaming party has to first get through the Goblin Camp and the Blighted Village, located towards the west of Ravaged Beach and Druid Grove.
Make it to Blighted Village first, and once you have, you’ll locate a waypoint for when you need to return. From that point onwards, start heading towards your west to reach Goblin Camp. The Shattered Sanctum (Torture Chamber) is in Goblin Camp. You’ll need to locate it, and once you’ve made it there, walk in through the main or back door (shortcut).
On the Sanctum’s Eastern side, you’ll find two main torture chambers. To make it there (if you’ve entered from the main door), take a right as you walk in. There, you’ll find Abdirak kneeling at a bloodied shrine. Interact with him and continue the conversation as he explains everything, along with Loviatar’s Worship and how it revels in pain. Upon continuing the conversation, Abdirak will present an offer to you. All you need to do then is to agree to it. He will then proceed towards facing the same wall as he was before you started the conversation.
Once it begins, you only need to get through two dice rolls. Each time the character is whipped, they’ll need to pass a dice roll which you need to get through twice. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be rewarded with the Loviatar’s Love buff! This buff provides you with a 2-point gain to all attack rolls and saving throws each time their total health falls below 30%. This helps massively when in combat and cannot be removed by rest. Further, it is permanent, and it doesn’t just eventually expire.
Lastly, completing all of this will get Shadowheart and Astarion’s approval if they’re at your party. At the same time, this ensures that Shadowheart (if present at your party) will get inspired enough to connect with her Acolyte background and be rewarded with the “A Kiss without Mercy” inspiration goal.
