Developed by Round 8 Studios and Neowiz Games, Lies of P is an ARPG game that offers a sense of personalization in terms of its storyline by offering certain choices that players need to make now and then, and the very first time you’ll be required to do so would be when you are asked to pick your Combat style. This decision is crucial as it decides how you’d go about battles until you complete the game; hence, it’d be logical to seek help making the decision.

Which Combat Style to Pick in Lies of P?

The Combat Style that you opt for, aka “a class,” can make a ton of difference in difficulty when in combat; hence, you’ll need to make the right choice out of these three:

  • Path of the Cricket: Balance
  • Path of the Bastard: Dexterity
  • Path of the Sweeper: Strength

Let’s get a deeper analysis of these options before you can make a choice that suits your gameplay style.

If you opt for Balance

The Path of the Cricket, representing Balance out of the other two options, offers you all balanced stats, making it a much safer pick than the other two options. This class offers the Puppet’s Saber Blade as a starting weapon, which isn’t too bad, let’s say. The class offers the following stats:

  1. Vitality: 9
  2. Vigor- 7
  3. Capacity- 8
  4. Motivity- 9
  5. Technique- 9
  6. Advance- 7

If you opt for Dexterity

The Path of the Bastard, representing Dexterity offers a much lower output in terms of battle capabilities, meaning your story would include many times when you’d need to dodge certain battles. This does come with a few advantages, though, such as agility. Your attacks will be a bit faster, and so will your movement speed.

That isn’t all, though; you’ll witness a higher level of technique as well as a higher level of Stamina right off the bat. You’ll start with the Wintry’s Rapier Blade, which isn’t too special. However, it seems to pair well with this particular class.

Here are the Dexterity Class’ Stats:

  1. Vitality: 8
  2. Vigor: 12
  3. Capacity: 7
  4. Motivity: 5
  5. Technique: 11
  6. Advance: 6

If you opt for Strength

The Path of the Sweeper, representing Strength in the game, offers maximum output in terms of damage. However, this comes at an expense: agility. You’ll most likely see a hit in your movement speed, too. However, you’ll walk into battles with an advantage, with maximum damage output making battles easier.

This class offers a higher number, as far as Capacity, Motivity and Vitality are concerned, but again, that comes at the expense of Stamina (Vigor). You’ll start with the Greatsword of Fate Blade, which is better than the other two classes and is the best on offer here.

Here are the stats:

  1. Vitality: 11
  2. Vigor: 5
  3. Capacity: 11
  4. Motivity: 11
  5. Technique: 5
  6. Advance: 6

All of this does come with the fact that you’ll be able to re-run the game with a different class once you’ve progressed enough, and hence, this drives us to our conclusion, which is to opt for the Path of the Cricket as you go through your first run of the game. This means you won’t compromise much regarding stats and can still pack a punch whenever needed in combat. Later, as we’ve just mentioned when you’ve progressed enough, maybe you explore other options!
