How to turn off Cuff’s Voice in Forspoken

The characters in Forspoken, Cuff and Frey, talk a lot every step of the way in the game. The conversations and the interactions between them are often comical, witty or help explain the background in bits, but they aren’t much of a necessity. Although listening to them can often be fun and entertaining, it does get a bit overwhelming at times when you have to repeatedly hear Cuff talk about the monsters and the world and give information about them. If you are looking for a way to mute this character and stop it from speaking so much, you have come to the right place. Here is how to do that!

How to Turn off the chat between Frey and Cuff in Forspoken

Throughout the gameplay, both these characters would be in constant conversation with each other, might even argue, and would try to have an advantage over the other. As mentioned previously, it is fun, but can be a bit too much sometimes. During your explorations and fights, Cuff would keep on informing Frey about the happening and would keep commenting on new areas and enemies. If you are tired of this banter, you can head over to the game’s settings and turn their conversation to minimal (Unfortunately, you cannot fully get rid of it).

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Head over to your Settings menu.
  2. Go to “Accessibility Settings.”
  3. Look for “Cuff Settings.”
  4. Under it, you will find “Cuff Chat Frequency.” Adjust it however you want.

Adjust it according to your wish as to how often you want conversations between Cuff and Frey to happen.

Cuff Settings in Forspoken

There are four options that you can select from, namely, minimal, low, default, and high. Here is what each of them would do:

  • Minimal would mean that you are going to hear the conversations that relate to the advancement of the story. These would include details regarding the places, enemies, lore, and also information about the main quest.
  • Low would mean only that the characters would be speaking less than usual.
  • Default is the amount of conversations between Cuff and Frey that is automatically selected when you start your gameplay and is the standard amount.
  • High would make the characters talk more than usual throughout the journey.

Remember that changing these settings or turning them off would have no impact on the cutscenes in the game. That is all there is to know about how to turn off Cuff’s voice in Forspoken.
