How to report a player in Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 is a team game, so it’s preferred by players to stay in touch over voice chat, or normal text chat in the game, and as we all know no game community is perfect.

There’ll be players who might want to ruin your experience or just might be bothering you in some sort of way whatsoever.

There’ll also be players who might throw the game, be rude/abusive on the voice chat, or they might do anything that is unruly in the game, so we recommend for you guys to be reporting these players as an effort towards helping the game’s community.

If you’re new to the game or just can’t figure out how to report such players who ruin the overall experience for you, do not worry, via this article, we at Frondtech will guide you as to how you can do the same so, here it is:

How to Report a Player in Overwatch 2

All you need to do, in order to report an unruly player, is follow the steps we’ve mentioned below:

  1. Open up the main menu
  2. Click on the social tab
  3. Then go to the “recent-players” option.
  4. Here, right-click on the player’s name, who you want to report, and there’ll be a pop-up menu.
  5. Now choose the report option

  6. Choose what kind of unruly behavior the player did, all throughout the game.
  7. Finally, send the report to Blizzard.

If you aren’t particularly new to Overwatch or the genre of the game, you’d have a rough idea as to how you can report these players.

Reporting players isn’t really hard, however, we recommend doing so, only if there’s a need for it. False reporting of a player, even multiple times, wouldn’t do anything. Often in other games, there’s no evidence against the players who’ve done some kind of mischief in the game, this isn’t the case with Overwatch 2.

With the new game comes a new feature in which Blizzard records all the player conversations, which then enacts as evidence against a player that has been reported.

Blizzard also takes action against such players, so we highly recommend for you send that report to Blizzard if need be. Additionally, once you’ve reported a player, you’re expecting him to be banned/suspended. If it does happen, Blizzard will notify you on your game’s main menu.

That’s pretty much everything you needed to know about reporting players in Overwatch 2.
