Sons of The Forest is finally here, and it is already one of the biggest launches of 2023. With over 250,000 players playing the game at the moment, the game has already surpassed the expectations of many.
When you first land inside a survival game, what are the first things that you think of? Building a shelter, getting food, and creating fire, right? Well, in this article, I will show you how to build a Tent or Shelter in Sons of The Forest. Keep reading.
How to Build a Tent in Sons of The Forest
There are two types of shelters in Sons of the Forest. A normal tent and a proper cabin made of logs. Here are the steps to create a basic Tent in Sons of The Forest:
- The Survival Instruction Manual already shows you the things you need to create a Tent. You can bring that up by pressing B, and then clicking on the Tent icon.
- To create a Tent, the first thing you need to do is look for a good spot that is free from grass and bushes. I picked a riverside.
- Now, you need to get a Stick and a Tarp to create a Tent.
- To get a Tarp, head over to the location where you crashed, and start opening the boxes with Yellow lids.
- To get a Stick, look for thin trees like this throughout the map:
- Once you spot one, go near it.
- Press I to open your Inventory and equip your Axe
- Now, hit the tree with your Tactical Axe, and it will give you 1x stick.
- You can also instruct Kelvin to get Sticks for you.
- Interact with Kelvin, select Get > Sticks.
- Once you have got all the items, press I to open your Inventory.
- Hover your mouse to the top-right corner of your screen.
- You will find the Tarp you just collected there.
- Press Left-click to Equip the Tarp.
- Now, look at the ground, and press Left-click again to place the Tarp on the ground.
- Go near one of the corners of the Tarp; you will notice an upward facing arrow like this, on your screen:
- Press Left-click to place the stick there and raise the corner.
- You will have your Tent.
That is all you have to do to build a Tent in Sons of the Forest.
