How to increase Gear Slots in Hogwarts Legacy
It’ll take some effort, but it’s absolutely worth it, we’d say. Increasing your inventory space could help you carry some extra gear. It comes in handy when/if you build your collections and gets rid of the annoying “Gear Slots Full” message. You’ll be required to complete Merlin trials in order to increase your Gear Slots Capacity. Each time you upgrade your inventory, you’ll have access to four additional slots. Merlin Trials will usually require you to move or destroy certain objects in the game to complete.
Your journey to unlocking Merlin Trials begins after you start the Trials of Merlin quest and speak with Nora Treadwell in Lower Hogsfield, near the huge Lake outside Hogwarts. That is where you first interact with a Merlin Trial puzzle by sprinkling Mallowsweet Leaves on it.
Open up your in-game map to find locations of these Puzzles in the realm of Hogwarts Legacy, locate them, and complete them. Once every few Merlin trials, you’ll progress toward the challenge in the field guide. This challenge allows for you to increase your inventory size. Additionally, you’ll also be getting the early upgrades a bit quicker with these trials.
- The first inventory upgrade will be available to you once you’ve completed two merlin trials
- In order to get the second one, you’ll have to complete another six of those.
- Complete another 10 Merlin Trials to unlock the third Inventory Slot.
- 14 more Merlin Trials for the Fourth Slot.
- Finally, 20 additional Merlin trials to unlock the Tier 5 upgrade.
A total of 52 Merlin trials you will have to complete to unlock all the additional Inventory slots. There are 95 Merlin Trials available in the game.
