Volcarona Location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

As the only thing that you need to do in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is not just catching Pokemon, but instead, you also need to evolve them. Such is what you need to do with Larvesta to evolve it into Volcarona. So one way to get Volcarona is to get Larvesta and evolve it into Volcarona in the game. But first, you need to catch a Larvesta.

Larvesta can be found towards the east side of the Paldea region, that too especially in the Asado Desert, and it is a Bug/Fire type Pokemon. This is the only place where you can find Larvesta. For further reference, check out the location below:

Once you read the Asado desert, be on an active lookout for Larvesta due to the fact that it does not spawn very commonly.

You will have to search for Larvesta for some time before you actually get it. When you get it, level it up to 59, and it will evolve to Volcarona. Yes, level 59 is a pretty high level to reach, so you’ll require a lot of Exp candies.

Yes, this is the easiest process, but luckily, not the only one. You can even get a Volcarona directly once you get access to the Area Zero. This is after you have unlocked The Great Carter of Paldea (however, this only happens after the main storyline ends). Go to Zero Gate as shown below:

Area Zero - Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

  1. After reaching the Zero gate, head to the lab
  2. Simply stand on the green altar.
  3. Now, select research station 2.
  4. Go down via the slope.
  5. Then jump to the area that will be a little grassy below.
  6. Roam around, and you will spot a Volcarona.

It might take some time, though, as the spawn rate isn’t frequent.

That is all that there was to know about how to get Volcarona in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
