It has already been a couple of days since the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and it is already the fastest selling title from PlayStation Studios game in the first 24 hours, with over 2.5 million copies already sold. It makes sense, as the game is a nice upgrade from the previous titles.
There is no doubt that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is an awesome game, but that doesn’t stop it from having a few bugs here and there. After completing almost 90% of the game, I didn’t think I would encounter any more bugs. But I was just proven wrong. Just a while ago, the “Set Things Right” mission bugged out for me. Now, I would have skipped the mission if it were a side quest. But “Set Things Right” is actually a main mission, which means you won’t be able to progress if you don’t fix the bug. Here is what you have to do:
How to fix the Set Things Right Mission
In the Set Things Right mission, Miles and Mr Negative are inside Peter’s Mind to negate the remains of the symbiote. After going through some obstacles, when you (as Miles) and Mister Negative find the source of the Symbiote Infestation, you obviously try to destroy it. In this process, Miles unlocks an ability called “Galvanise”. After unlocking the ability, the game throws some Symbiote enemies at you, who have to eliminate using Galvanise. So, a prompt appears on your screen saying “L1 + X Galvanise“. But, the game gets stuck at that screen. You can try to press L1 + X as much as you want, it won’t work. The game completely stops responding.
Now, to fix this issue, I have tried resetting the mission, and loading from the previous save. But none of them worked for me. The only way to fix this is to quit Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and relaunch the game from your PS5 library. Load the save, and you should be able to use Galvanise after that. Just to be on the safe side, press L1 + X immediately after you enter the game. I am not sure, but this bug most probably happens, when the first symbiote enemy gets too close to you.
