To check the ping in MW3, all you need to do is:

  1. Start Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
  2. Click on the Settings icon, located in the top-right corner.
  3. Select the Interface Tab.
  4. Keep on scrolling down until you find the Telemetry options.
  5. Set Telemetry to Custom, and click on the “Show More” button below it.
  6. Now enable the following options:
    • Server Latency
    • Packet Loss
  7. Turning both of these on will help you check your Ping, server latencies, and packet data loss.

Once you turn these on, your Ping and Server Latency will show up in the top-left corner of your screen. If you want the text to be bigger, then just under Telemetry, you will find “Telemetry Label Size”. Set it to “Larger” to make the text appear bigger.

Apart from that you can also enable these three options to keep track of even more details about your connection:

  • Connection Meter
  • Network In-Game Icons
  • Hardware In-game Alert Icons

These widgets will help you display all your networking and ping statistics so that you check them with just a glance.
