The newest installment from Techland, the Dying Light 2 game, features the ability to assign Power Mills, Windmills to factions. So in this article, we will be guiding you on how to assign different structures and facilities to factions in Dying Light 2.

Dying Light 2 is already out, and this most awaited title has already surpassed the popularity of its prequel. This game is a follow-up to the original 2015 Dying Light game, developed by Techland. This is a unique Zombie game unlike any games we have seen before set in the European city of Villedor and you have to play as Aiden Caldwell, a pilgrim. The game is best known for its smooth parkour movements along with a combination of slides and jumps from one point to another.

The new Dying Light game features the ability to assign different structures to different factions within Villedor. These structures can be mostly found when you explore the map properly. The factions take over all the nearby structures present in the area when you assign a facility to them. The process of assigning the structures is a bit complicated yet important as well.

So read the full article to understand how to assign different structures and facilities to factions in Dying Light 2.

Survivors vs Peacekeepers – Which faction to pick?

Assigning a facility to the Survivors faction will result in having a very parkour friendly environment. You will be able to travel very smoothly and easily between the different structures in the surrounding areas. But whenever you assign a facility to the Peacekeepers faction, you will notice many traps that are set up to eliminate multiple enemies at once.

The story revolves around the choices that you make in assigning the facilities and structures to different factions. Whatever you choose, you will find different non-playable characters and playable quests inside the zone that you have chosen. The quest types will be different for both the factions along with the NPCs as well.

How to Assign different Structures and Facilities to Factions

First and foremost, you need to assign facilities to the factions. Then only, you will be able to assign the different structures to the factions. This is also to note that you cannot assign individual structures to individual factions because once you assign a facility ta a specific faction, they will take over all the structures nearby.

Each zone within a certain region has at least one facility nearby, and that can either be a Water Tower or a Power Station. Whenever you take control over a facility you can assign them and immediately the nearby structures will also be unlocked for that specific faction. For example, if you assign a Water Tower to the Survivors, all the nearby locations like the Wind Mills will come under the Survivors as well.

If you do not assign a facility to a faction, then you will first have to do it, otherwise a message saying, “To Unlock Faction Structures Assign a Facility in the Zone” will appear. Also, do make sure to check the map periodically for the red icons. The red icons mean that your current character doesn’t meet the requirements to complete the structure of the facility.
