Fix Modern Warfare 3 (2023) No Audio Bug

Experiencing issues with your in-game sound while playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3? Don’t worry; there are plenty of things you can do to fix that.

How to Fix the Modern Warfare 3 (2023) No Sound/Audio Bug

The first thing you need to do is open Modern Warfare 3, go to Audio Settings, and see if MW3 is detecting your Audio Device or not. This is what it should like when the game detects your Headphones properly:

COD MW3 (2023) Sound Settings

If the audio settings are alright for you, then you can move on to the next step. Here is what you need to do:

  1. On the right side of your Taskbar, you will notice a Speaker Icon.
  2. Right-click on the Speaker icon in the lower right corner.
  3. Go to Sound Settings and select the correct Output Device to route your audio.
  4. Sometimes what happens is, when you have a lot of audio devices, Windows tends to switch randomly between them. I have had Windows switch my Output to my PS5 controller plenty of times.

When MW2 was released, I saw a lot of people complain on the Call of Duty Reddit that they had been facing issues with Wireless Gaming Headphones. I had this issue with many games, especially with my Razer Blackshark V2 Pro and Logitech G733, and all I had to do was switch to a different pair of Headphones with a 3.5mm Jack. Trust me, any 3.5mm Wired Headphones would do, as long as it is enough for you to enjoy and play the game comfortably.

Also, don’t forget to disable Spatial Audio and Windows Sonic off, as even after all these years, Microsoft has been unable to make them work properly.
