  6. Start the game again, and you should get your sound back

Let me tell you what is happening here, this bug is mainly happening to people who got multiple devices plugged into their PC.

I had my PS5 controller plugged in and for some reason my system what counting it as a pair of headsets. So make sure that you have selected the accurate sound output.

A lot of people have already confirmed that this is a legit fix. Check out the comments:

Now, this fix should work for most people, but I did notice some comments, where some people have claimed that they had this fix wasn’t enough for them, and they had to take some extra steps. Check out this post from a Steam user:

Got it working. In case anyone else has the issue I had, here is how I fixed.

I had a device in playback I couldn’t disable called Digital Audio (S/PDIF). Since I use a USB headset, the audio was still failing.

I had to disable in BIOS to remove it from the Playback tab.

WARNING: This will disable the built in audio jacks on the motherboard.

Steps for my ASUS mobo:
Restart and enter BIOS > Enter advanced mode > Advanced tab > Change dropdown for HD Audio to disabled > Save and Exit

Now, I personally have not tried and will recommend that you touch your Bios setup only if you have experience. A wrong setting in your Bios can mess up your entire system. So be careful!
