Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to get Fast Travel

Fast Travel might be confusing for newer DD2 Players as it is unique compared to other RPG Games. Fast travel requires you to have Ferrystones, and so, in this article, we will talk about getting Ferrystones and fast traveling in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to get Fast Travel in Dragon's Dogma 2

What are Ferrystones?

Ferrystones are single-use items that you can use to fast-travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2. These Ferrystones can be looted from various chests across the game or purchased from vendors.

How to get Ferrystones?

You will be able to get Ferrystones from two different sources.

Vendors

You can purchase these Ferrystones from Vendors, but they are pretty expensive. Although the price and names of the vendors are still not confirmed, we will update those in this article shortly. In the last iteration of the game, alongside getting from vendors, they were also dropped by fallen enemies in Everfall.

Chests

Ferrystones can also be obtained from chests, but remember that these chests are hard to find and will require you to dive deep into exploring the area. However, you can also take the help of Pawns with knowledge of such chests, which may help you guide to it.

How to use these Ferrystones?

There are two use cases of Ferrystones in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

  1. You can use these Ferrystones to fast travel to an area and set Portcrystals. Get to know more about Portcrystals here! Remember that these stones are single-used items, so use them when necessary.
  2. You can also use these Ferrystones to enhance armor pieces in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to Fast Travel using Oxcart in Dragon’s Dogma 2

The easiest way to travel between cities quickly is to use Oxcarts in DD2. It was pretty cheap and cost around 100 to 200 Gold. The problem with oxcarts is that only two of them are located in Vermund, and they can only travel to three different towns: Melve, Vernworth (Capital), and Checkpoint Rest Shop.

Also, you are vulnerable to attack by monsters, which you need to take care of first; otherwise, your Oxcart will get destroyed in the action. If your oxcarts get destroyed, you must finish the rest of the trip on foot.

So that was all about fast travel and ferry stones in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
