Resident Evil Village (RE8) – Unable to connect to the server – Are the servers down

Wondering if the RE Village servers are down at the moment or not? Don’t worry we got you.

Players are not being able to connect to the Resident Evil Village servers

After a long wait, one of the most anticipated and probably one of the biggest AAA titles of 2021, Resident Evil Village or RE8 is finally playable. And we all know what happens when a Resident Evil title releases. Fans from all over the world, without wasting any time, try to get onboard. The franchise is huge, and so is the fan following.

But it looks like the game is experiencing some server issues at the moment. Players who are in-game are getting disconnected from the servers. And players who are trying to launch the game, are getting a message that says:

Unable to connect to the server.

Please wait and try again.

RE Village - Unable to connect to server

If you ask me, this is kind of expected from AAA nowadays. I have seen so many similar cases, that this is something that is quite expected to me, actually.

Are the Resident Evil Village or RE8 servers down?

Now, there could be many reasons behind this. An easy way to check if the servers are down for everybody, just head over to the Twitter page of Resident Evil, and you will know what is going on. The developers are constantly posting the status or state of the game there. Here is the link to the official RE Twitter page – RE_Games.

If you don’t see any tweet regarding this, then there can be two possibilities. Either the game is not yet available at your location(It is still locked for you, doesn’t matter you are being able to launch the game via Steam). Or, there is something wrong with your internet connection. So check whether things are good from your side.
