Mortal Kombat 11 (MK11) Performance Guide – Fix Lag, FPS Drops, Crashing And Freezing

Mortal Kombat 11 or MK11 is the 11th main addition to NetherRealm‘s most famous Mortal Kombat franchise. It is the direct sequel to Mortal Kombat X that was released in 2015 and therefore it borrows a lot of features from MKX.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a 2.5D fighting game just like the previous MK games and it is running on the same engine as Mortal Kombat X, Unreal Engine 3. So fans who were expecting a massive overhaul in the graphics department might be a little disappointed.

There are a plenty of new features in Mortal Kombat 11. New gameplay features like Fatal Blows and Krushing blows have been introduced. These moves are pretty similar to previously seen X-ray moves with few changes here and there.

Mortal Kombat 11 also introduces a Custom Variation feature which offers character customization features similar to the Gear system in Injustice 2. Players will get to customize outfits, weapons and moves of the every single character in the game. But these customizations won’t have any effect on the abilities of the characters though.

The size of Mortal Kombat 11 is more than 60GB. Which means it is not a light game at all. And when a game is not light it requires good optimization. Otherwise it struggles to run properly even at low settings. Unfortunately, Mortal Kombat 11 has somewhat similar problems. MK11 is a fighting game and it is always recommended that you play every fighting game at minimum 60 fps because it is very difficult to perform chain combos when your game is lagging, freezing or suffering from fps drops.

Players have already been complaining about crashes and freezing over the forums and most of the claims are legit. That is why we decided to come out with a basic performance guide for Mortal Kombat 11. This guide will let you know about all that basic methods that you can follow to fix problems like lag, fps drops, stuttering, etc. Here is how to fix lag, fps drops, crashing and freezing in Mortal Kombat 11:
