So there are three different Gong Puzzles that you need to solve in order to solve the complete Animal Gong Puzzle.
How to solve the First Gong Puzzle
You can find the first Gong Puzzle in Chapter 7 while solving the Four Swords Puzzle, which you can read about here. All you need to do is shoot the Animal Gongs behind the iron gates in a correct sequence so that it unlocks. The Symbols are engraved on the Iron Door Itself. You must shoot the gongs like those engraved on the gate to complete the First Gong Puzzle.
Start by ringing the Gong outside the gate, then inside the gate, shoot the first Gong with the Bird Symbol on the right and then the Gong with the Snake Symbol on the Right. The Gong on the left is just a decoy. So do not shoot that.
Solving the First Gong Puzzle will reward you with the Bloodied Sword we discussed earlier in the Four Swords Puzzle. It is an essential item to complete that Puzzle, so ensure you collect it.
How to solve the Second Gong Puzzle
As you progress through the main storyline, you will come across the second Gong Puzzle in Chapter 7 itself. This is very similar to the first Gong Puzzle, and you need to shoot the Animals that are similar to the ones found on the engravings. However, to find the Snake Gong, you must take the Chandelier, reach the opposite side of the Castle, and shoot the Snake Gong from outside the iron gate.
How to solve the Third Gong Puzzle
You will encounter the Third Gong Puzzle when playing Ashley in Chapter 9 of Resident Evil 4 Remake. You will find the Third Gong Animal puzzle inside the Mausoleum. This puzzle can be solved by simply pulling the bells to ring the Gongs. As you do this, you will be attacked by Armaduras. Stun them temporarily by aiming the Lamp at them that you got from the Library.
Animal Gong Puzzle Rewards in RE4 Remake
You will be able to get the Bloodied Sword as a reward for completing the first Animal Gong puzzle. As mentioned before, the Bloodied Sword is a crucial item for progressing. The second and the third Gong Puzzle will help you go through the main story that you will find in Chapters 7 and 9, respectively.
