Persona 4 Golden stuttering crashing lag fps drops fix – Witnessing performance issue while playing the Steam or PC version of Persona 4? Don’t worry we got you.

Persona 4 Golden – Fix Stuttering, FPS drops, Crashing and Lag

Persona 4 Golden is a RPG title that was originally released for PS Vita back in 2012. The PC version got released almost after 8 years. And so far the game has managed to garner some really good reviews from the community. Persona 4 proves that the age of the game doesn’t matter as long as it is enjoyable.

It is true that Persona 4 is an excellent title, but that doesn’t take away the fact that the PC port is not great at all. Just few hours after launch players have started complaining about performance issues like lag, fps drops, crashes, stutters, etc. Overall the situation is not looking good at all.

That is why we decided to come up with a basic performance guide that will show you some simple tweaks that you can try in order to fix the performance issues that you are having.

Check the System Requirements of Persona 4 Golden

Just because this is an 8 year old game, people are thinking that the game will run on their systems without any issues. But that is not the case. You should always check the systems requirements of games before you go ahead and make the purchase.

  • OS: Windows 8.1
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 | AMD Phenom II X2 550
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 | AMD Radeon HD 5770
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 14 GB available space

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-650 | AMD Phenom X4 940
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 | AMD Radeon HD 6870
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 14 GB available space

So as you can see, even though you do not require very powerful hardware to play this game, you do need either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 OS on your system. Windows 7 users are out of luck here.

This can only be fixed if the developers decide to add support for Windows 7 at a later date. Until then the best option for you would be returning this game on Steam and get a refund.

Tweak Graphics Settings of Persona 4 (For people stuck at 30 fps)

It looks like the game is stuck at 30 FPS for a lot of people. Even people with high-end gaming rigs are facing this issue. This issue is actually related to the graphics settings of the game. You need to tweak the settings a bit. Here is what you need to do:

  • Rendering Scale : 100%
  • Shadow Quality : Medium
  • Shadow : On
  • Anisotropic Filter : High
  • Anti Aliasing : Off

  • Resolution : 1920×1080 (Native resolution of your monitor)
  • Screen Mode : Windowed Borderless (Fullscreen is bugged and causes crashes)
  • V-Sync : Off
