Draupnir Spear Raganrok – The Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok is the best weapon you can unlock for close and long-range combats!
God of War Ragnarok is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by none other than Sony Interactive. It is a third-person fighting game that involves a hack-and-slash mechanism paired with interesting Puzzle elements.
This is the ninth installment in Sony’s God of War Series and the successor of the God War released in 2018. This is a highly anticipated title for the PlayStation Community, and we have been playing it since its launch. For me, the God of War Ragnarok is easily one of the best games I have played this year.
God of War Ragnarok features a lot of weapons that can be unlocked by completing missions or side quests in the game.
The Draupnir Spear is one of those weapons you will unlock in the game’s later stages. It is a classic Spartan Spear that can replicate itself to eliminate enemies while you can detonate whenever you want.
It is a solid weapon, and you must have achieved the skill tree level 7 before progressing with the mission. Although by the time you will reach the task, you will already have the skill tree upgraded.
So this article will guide you on how to get Draupnir Spear in God Of War Ragnarok.
How to get Draupnir Spear in GOW Ragnarok
The Draupnir Spear is a new weapon introduced in the God of War Ragnarok, and it will get unlocked for you during the Forging Destiny Quest.
During this quest, you will visit Svartfheim alongside your dwarf blacksmith, Brok. The Lady of the Forge will gift you the Spear during the mission.
Remember that the Draupnir Spear gets unlocked after you have given in a couple of hours into it and after completing almost two-thirds of the game.
The Forging Destiny mission is the tenth Chapter of the game, so you will need to go through all the chapters before getting on with this mission.
This Draupnir Spear is one of the most unique and versatile weapons you can have in your arsenal. It is a perfect weapon for both long-range and close-range combat.
The Draupnir Spear is special, and once you throw it, you can get them to explode whenever you want. But when using it for closed-range combats, you must focus on increasing the stun bars.
But I would also like to add that despite Kratos’s axe and blade being enough to slice off enemies, the Draupnir Spear has its advantages, even without a shield.
All Gale Flame Locations in Ragnarok
Mastering the Draupnir Spear can be challenging, so after unlocking it, use it as much as possible and use the various Siphon elements like Gale Flame on the Draupnir Spear to level it up. The maximum level for the Draupnir Spear is 9. You will be able to find Gale Flame in the following locations:
- The Plains in Vanaheim – Defeat the Flame Phantom Miniboss after freeing the animals from the wisps at night. Destroy all the five springs to get Gale Flame.
- The Spark of the World in Muspelheim – You must defeat the Valuries Hirst and Mist to get Gale Flame.
- Find the Six Lost Lindwyrm locations to get Game Flame. The six locations are The Forge, Alberich Hollow, Alberich Island and The Apple Core in Svartalfheim, while you will find two Gale Sparks in The Plains at Vanaheim. Collect all six Gale Sparks to get one Gale Flame.
- Jarnsmida Pitmines in Svartalfheim – Defeat two berserkers Bodvar the Fierce and Starolfr the Troublesome, at the same time to get a Gale Flame.
- Use these collected Gale flames to upgrade your Draupnir Spear.
So this was all about how to get and upgrade the Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok.
