Days Gone PC – Download and Installation stuck – Is it bugged
Apparently a lot of people who bought Days Gone on PC are facing an issue where the downloading of the game is stuck. No matter what they do the installation bar is reluctant to make any sort of progress.
People have already tried pausing and then resuming the download, restarting the download, restarting Steam, restarting Epic Games Launcher, restart their PC, etc. But nothing seems to help. A lot of the members are speculating that this has something to do with the CPU usage.
So is this a bug or a glitch? Well, the truth is this is neither a bug nor a glitch. If you go and look at the download folder of Steam you will notice that there is nothing over there. Steam will actually download the installer file first. And once the downloading is completed the unpacking will take place.
When Steam is showing that Days Gone is still being downloaded, it is not really accurate. It is unpacking the game instead.
The file size of Days Gone is a whopping 70 GB. So all you have to do is wait for a while. The process is really fast on a SSD but HDD users would have to be a bit patient.
