The Remastered version has received a complete overhaul in terms of textures, lighting, environment and visual effects. The graphics has been enhanced completely.
You get to relive the Saints Row 3 experience, but with the graphics being toned up to a very high level. The missions are identical with that of the old version and you won’t find anything difference there.
Now that you know what the game is all about, lets talk about how this remake performs and how well optimized it is on PC. Now we cannot expect the remastered version to perform like the old one as there is a huge difference in the graphics of both the games. The system requirements of the remake are quite high. With that being said the game is performing quite well so far for majority of the users.
But there are still some users who are facing performance issues with the game. Players have been experiencing lag, stuttering, crashes, fps drops, etc, since the game launched and the devs have not addressed the issues yet. That is why we decided to come up with a basic lag fix guide that might help you with the performance issues that you are having.

Saints Row The Third Remastered – System Requirements
Before you move any further into this guide, you have to make sure that the hardware specifications of your system are somewhat identical to the minimum requirements of the game at least.
Lets take a look at the System Requirements of Saints Row The Third Remastered.
Minimum system requirements (720p on Low Settings) :
- CPU: AMD FX 6000 series or Intel Core i5-3000 series or newer is recommended.
- RAM: 8GB
- GPU: AMD Radeon 500 series or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or newer (at least 4GB of dedicated VRAM)
- Sound: Integrated or dedicated DirectX 9 compatible soundcard
- OS: Windows 10

We did some fiddling with the graphics settings of Saint Row 3 Remastered and here is a good combination of display settings for low end gaming PCs.

Update Graphics Drivers
Update your graphics drivers to the latest versions to avoid crashes and stutters.
If you are a Nvidia user then you can directly update your driver from the Geforce Experience application. You can also download the driver directly from the link below.
If you are an AMD user then you can find the latest Adrenaline driver from the link given below.
Repair the game by verifying the in-game files
Verifying the files of Saints Row 3 Remastered could also fix any sort of performance issue that you are having. Here is how to do it:
- Open Epic Launcher
- Go to your Library
- Take your mouse pointer on Saints Row The Third Remastered
- Click on the Settings icon beside the Launch icon
- Click on Verify
- Restart the launcher after the process is completed
Saints Row The Third Remastered – Nvidia Control Panel settings
The first thing you should do is click on ‘Adjust image settings with preview‘ located on the left side under 3D settings and make sure that ‘Use the advanced 3D image settings‘ is selected. Now:
- Open Nvidia Control Panel
- Click on Manage 3D settings on the left bar
- Click on Global Settings
- Now tweak the following settings:

Threaded Optimization : On

If you are using Nvidia GeForce Experience then turn off the in-game overlay. Here is how to do it:
- Launch GFE
- Click on the Settings icon located at the top-right corner
- Click on General
- And just turn off In-Game Overlay
