A lot of players are getting the Delamain Phone Bug in Cyberpunk 2077
What is this bug all about
It has been almost two weeks since Cyberpunk 2077 got released, and I have to say, this is probably one of the roughest launches I have ever seen in my life. I really don’t want to go into the details again. Because I am pretty sure the whole world knows at this point, that what is going on.
The game already has a lot of bugs and there are more popping up every day. But I am specifically talking about the Delamain bug or the “Delamain on every call” bug here.
Here is a CDPR Forum user describing the bug:
After completing the quest in which you recover Delamains cabs. My phone is now broken so that it shows images of Delamain no matter who I am calling and they are cut into strips. This also happens at the Delamain headquarters now.
And here is a Reddit user describing the Delamain bug:
Does anyone else have the bug where Delamain is in every single one of your phone calls? Part of him is glitched on top of any person that calls me. I don’t know how to fix it.
And this is exactly what is happening. Once players are completing a quest given by Delamain, he is appearing on every call. His face is getting glitched into the faces of other callers.
This is stopping a lot of players from making or receiving other calls. Delamain’s face is stuck on the right side, and it just won’t go away.
How to fix the Delamain bug
Update : Patch 1.1 is here. But this bug still remains unfixed.
So basically, there are a lot of different fixes to this Delamain bug. The only problem is, for some, they work and for some, they don’t. Still I will try to list all the fixes here.
The first fix comes from Reddit user /Reddit-Realist:
So I think I found the solution for Delamain is in every single phone call. Head to Delamain HQ. SAVE YOUR GAME. Then enter the building, have all the conversation with him, there should be options. Notice, the screen, which Delamain would be in when he talking to you, will turn black. Head outside the building, then enter in again, however this time, before entering, pull out your phone and dial Delamain as soon as you walk in. Then you should encounter conversations with him again, on the phone and this time should also be on the screen. After that head out the building, there should be a delamain phone screen bug will be stuck on the top left corner. Then reload your save game. It should work. It did for me!!!
The second fix comes from another Reddit user /CNFDRT:
Alright so what was wrong with mine was the box was there but his face wasn’t. So I destroyed one of his cars (used 2 sticky frags) and he called me but just sat there looking at me not talking. Went to a fast travel station and fast traveled to a random place and it went away. Hope this helps with y’all’s issue. Thought I lost my furthest save. Would’ve been out 9 hours had this not worked. (Note this does forfeit the side quest for delamain)
And the third fix comes from Reddit user /DarkLames:
I fixed mine by fast traveling to Delamain HQ and going through all the dialogue options available once you walk in. I did this after 20+ or so hours since the glitch began after finishing his quest. It was the first quest I did after the prologue so I’ve basically had to deal with it for most of my play through. The fast travel location is North in Vista Del Ray, head West up the street and the building should be on the left.
These are all the working fixes that are available at the moment. You can obviously wait for CDPR to release an official fix. But considering how bad the situation is for them right now, I wouldn’t count on that. Also, if any of the fixes end up working for you, please let everybody know in the comment section below.
