Coiling Ward – In the latest Diablo 4, Coiling Wards are rare Crafting materials that you will need in the game eventually to upgrade your Legendary Armor and imprint Aspects. Many players have been assuming that you’ll get this material through salvaging, but might still struggle to obtain it. Well, they have guessed correctly.
If you hope to get your hands on Coiling Ward in the game, then you must be very specific with your salvaging. The following guide will help you guide your way toward the correct items you need for dismantling.
How to get Coiling Ward in Diablo 4
If you want to get your hands on Coiling Ward in the latest Diablo 4, you must salvage Legendary armor pieces at a Blacksmith with 400+ Item Power. Armor pieces are gloves, chests, helms, legs, and boots to give you a clear view. They all award you with Coiling Wards upon being salvaged. With this being said, you must ensure that the Legendary armor pieces you are salvaging have the requisite Item Power. This is because the ones with less Item Power will give you lower-tier crafting materials in the game.
Although many players might already know how they can salvage Legendary items in the game, we suggest that you read the following to get a clearer view of the topic. If you wish to dismantle any item, head to any Blacksmith. Blacksmiths appear as an anvil icon on your map and can be found in most towns. Then, select the Salvage tab. You will see ‘Directly in Inventory’ beside the top of the menu; select the icon below this text. Thereafter, like the Legendary that you wish to salvage and confirm.
To imprint Aspects in the game, you must use Coiling Wards; note that 400 Item Power is the point. Ones with 399 and below only require veiled Crystals (they’re much easier to get compared to Coiling Wards). So we advise that you hold onto the just below 400 Item Power imprinted items till you have a consistent source for 400+ Legendary Armor that is salvageable and established.
For a few of you, it might even mean that you need to hold on till World Tier 3 to cross the threshold of 400 Item Power. Only after you complete the campaign and the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon(accessible in World Tier 2) will you unlock the game’s World Tier 3. Although there were ways to farm for Legendaries before this, the best way was trading Murmuring Obols at the Purveyor of Curiosities.
That pretty much sums up all that there is to know about where to find Coiling Ward in Diablo 4.
