The Swarm God Roll Guide – Destiny 2

This guide will show you the best rolls or the God Roll for The Swarm and The Swarm Adept. Keep reading.

The Swarm is 360 Rounds Per Minute High Impact Frame Arc Machine Gun with a Magazine Size of 47. It is one of the very few Adept Machine Guns available in Destiny 2 right now. Considering how popular Machine Guns have gotten since the launch of Lightfall, I can see the hype surrounding this weapon. Let’s quickly take a look at the stats:

The Swarm - Destiny 2

  • Impact: 70
  • Range: 69
  • Stability: 33
  • Handling: 35
  • Reload Speed: 38
  • Reload Time: 5.36s
  • Aim Assistance: 39
  • Zoom: 16
  • Recoil: 79

Now that the base stats are out of the way, let’s take a quick look at the God Rolls for The Swarm and The Swarm Adept:

The Swarm God Roll

PVE

Barrel Fluted Barrel For PvE, we will be focusing on Handling and Reload Speed for The Swarm. Fluted Barrel provides +15 Handling and +5 Stability.
Magazine Flared Magwell Easily one of the best Magazine perks for this Machine Gun. That +15 Reload Speed is huge. That +5 Stability boost helps as well.
Trait #1 Feeding Frenzy This Perk Column is really lacking. Other than Feeding Frenzy, there aren’t any good options here. If you ask me, Freeding Frenzy can be really helpful when you are using The Swarm to clear ads.
Trait #2 Vorpal Weapon The flat 10% buff against Bosses is really useful here. It is true that Golden Tricorn can provide up to 50% extra damage. But the problem is, you need to get an elimination with your melee or grenade, and during Boss dps, that is hard to do. Target Lock is also there, but you will have to shoot like 6–7 bullets to activate it. Considering how slow The Swarm shoots, Target Lock is not a good idea.
Origin Trait Stunning Recovery Probably one of the best PvE Origin Traits you can get on a weapon.
Masterwork Reload Speed As I said earlier, Reload Speed and Handling are the aspects you should be focusing on.
Mod Boss Spec The 7.77% damage boost stacks with the 10% boost from Vorpal.

PVP

Barrel Smallbore Not sure who is going to use The Swarm in PvP, but if you are planning to do that, try focusing on Range and Stability.
Magazine Accurized Rounds The +10 Range really helps here.
Trait #1 Rangefinder The best perk for PvP available on this Perk Column. You get more zoom and projectile speed.
Trait #2 Tap The Trigger Being a High Impact Frame, The Swarm kicks a lot. Tap The Trigger helps keep the weapon stable.
Origin Trait Vanguard’s Vindication You get a small amount of health from each elimination.
Masterwork Stability Smallbore and Accurized will be already giving you a ton of range. Increasing the Stability allows you to control the recoil of the weapon better.
Mod Counterbalance Stock Takes the Recoil from 79 to 94, which makes the recoil of The Swarm more vertical and easy to control.

Now that we have seen the god roll for The Swarm, time to now check out The Swarm Adept. The rolls are more or less going to be the same, with minor change.

The Swarm Adept God Roll

PVE

Barrel Fluted Barrel For PvE, just like the normal Swarm, we will be focusing on Handling and Reload Speed for The Swarm.
Mod Adept Big Ones Spec Just like Boss Spec, the 7.77% damage boost from Big Ones Spec stacks with the damage increase of Vorpal. This means you will be getting a flat 17.77% damage boost against Bosses.

PVP

Barrel Smallbore As I said earlier, for PvP you should be focusing on Stability and Range for The Swarm Adept, and Smallbore provides a nice balance between both.
Magazine Accurized Rounds The +10 Range really helps here.
Trait #1 Rangefinder You get more zoom and projectile speed.
Trait #2 Tap The Trigger Being a High Impact Frame, The Swarm kicks a lot. Tap The Trigger helps keep the weapon stable.
Origin Trait Vanguard’s Vindication You get a small amount of health from each elimination.
Masterwork Stability Increasing the Stability allows you to control the recoil of the weapon better.
Mod Adept Stability The flat +10 Stability increase is huge for this weapon.

That is all I had regarding the God Rolls for The Swarm and The Swarm Adept.
