A new bug has surfaced this time in The Division 2 which can be regarded as ‘game breaking’. This bug is causing the mouse of the players to lag and stuttering. How to fix mouse lag and stuttering in The Division 2 Method #1
It seems like this bug is more common with players who are running The Division 2 on DirectX 12 than players who have DirectX 12 off. Here are the steps to turn off DirectX 12 in The Division 2:
- Launch The Division 2
- Go to Settings > Video
- Enable Reduced Latency : Off
- Enable DX12 Renderer : Off
- Restart the game
If the lag or stuttering is being caused by DirectX 12 then this will definitely fix it.
How to fix mouse lag and stuttering in The Division 2 Method #2
Another reason of this mouse lag and stuttering could be unoptimised graphics settings. You have to make sure that you are not pressurizing your CPU and Graphics card too much by cranking up your graphics settings all the way to maximum. Another reason for this mouse lag and stuttering could be 100% CPU Usage. The Division 2 already has a bug that takes the CPU Usage all the way to 100% which leads to a lot of bugs and fps issues. This seems to be happening especially with Nvidia users.
This bug is nothing but a Nvidia Container LS leak and it is tied to the Nvidia graphics driver v419.17. Nvidia has already rolled out v419.35, so if you have not updated your graphics driver then we would recommend you to do so. And If you still face problems after the update we would suggest rolling back to previous drivers that came before v419.17. You might lose some performance but the lag and stuttering would be gone.

Hello Guys,
so i found a way to fix the mouse Stutter Problem which is caused of 100% CPU Usage of the game. As most of u know u cant change the Affinity of Division 2 while the game is running cause of Easy Anti Cheat. But what u can do is change the Priority of the Process in the registry. Just do the following command in a text editor and save it as an .reg file. Then execute it. It will set the priority of Division 2 to below normal. This causes the CPU to set the process which scans mouse input rate higher. And u wont have mouse stutter anymore caused by cpu usage. This worked for me at least.
I do not want u to destroy your game though. It is just a tip from me. And using it is on your own risk.
This is the registry entry i did to make the process of division 2 below normal priority:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\TheDivision2.exe\PerfOptions]
“CpuPriorityClass”=dword:00000001
So this method as you can see clearly advises you to play with registry. Which we would not recommend. But if none of the fixes mentioned here worked for you then you have no other option but to try this. Make sure you follow exactly what he has mentioned.
