This is the reason why it is always recommended that you check the system requirements of games before purchasing them. If you look at the gameplay of SOA Alicization Lycoris, it looks like a fairly light game. But the system requirements tell a completely different story. One can never tell without looking at the recommended requirements that you need a whopping 16 GB of RAM and a GTX 1070 8 GB or a Vega 56 to run this game at 1080p 60 FPS. This shows that the game is very poorly optimized.

Update your Graphics Drivers (Fixes crashes)
It looks like a lot of people have managed to fix the crashing issue of the game by just updating their video drivers.

Verify SOA on Steam
- Launch Steam
- Go to Library
- Right Click on Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris
- Select Properties
- Click on Local Files tab
- Select Verify Integrity of Game Files
Disable Xbox Game Bar
- Go to Windows settings
- Select Gaming
- Select Xbox Game Bar
- Turn it off
Disable Easy Anti-cheat (Advanced Method)
