Persona 4 PC – Setup Error – System does not meet the Minimum Requirements – How to fix

What is SetupError in the Persona 4 PC

It is an error message that pops up if your system specifications do not meet the system requirements of the game. You will get the error message “Setup Error : System does not meet the minimum system requirements“, and the game will close.

This issue is happening to a lot of players, even who have very high-end gaming rigs. And the error message doesn’t even show a detailed information about the error. So players are only getting confused and are being forced to think that it is a problem related to their GPU or CPU.

How to fix this error

If the error is popping up for you despite your system meeting all the system requirements of the game, then there is a huge chance that your Windows OS is running DirectX 9 or DirectX 10. You need DirectX 11 at least in order to run this game.

If you do not know how to check your DirectX version then just press “Windows key + R” on your keyboard, type dxdiag and hit enter. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will come up. Look under System Information. Your DirectX version will appear at the bottom.

This game does not support Windows 7. So you have to have either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 in order to play this game.

How to Update DirectX

In case your system is running a recommended OS and your DirectX version is still not updated. Then here is how to do it:

  • Go to the official Microsoft DirectX download page. Here is the link
