Outriders Worldslayer controller not working fix – This guide with show you how to fix the controller issue in the Steam version of Outriders.

There seems to be a Controller Bug in Outriders at the moment

Outriders is finally available on Steam. But despite the demo of the game being available for almost a month, it looks like People Can Fly has not managed to eliminate all the bugs and issues from the game. New bugs are popping up almost every day.

Some players are now complaining that their controllers are not working on the PC version of Outriders. And the funny thing is, the Epic Games version of this game doesn’t have any issue of this sort. It is the Steam version that is having the problem.

So now the main question. Is there a way to fix this issue?

How to fix this issue

I personally have the Epic Games Store and every controller works completely fine. This means the game does have controller support. So this fix is only for the Steam.

This fix has been recommended by a Steam user and many other users have already confirmed that this works. Here is the fix:

Go to controller settings and change to the default gamepad template instead of the of “official” configuration.

1.) Launch Steam in Big Picture
2.) From the Big Picture main menu select the gear icon
3.) Under controller, select controller settings, ensure your specific controller is enabled/turned on
4.) Navigate back to the Big Picture Main menu
5.) Select Library
6.) Select Outriders
7.) Select Manage game
8.) Select Controller configuration

9.) Select Browse Configs – Templates
10.) Select Gamepad

If the fix mentioned above does not end up working for you then I would recommend that you go and disable Steam Input for Outriders. Maybe Steam is interfering with the built-in controller support of the game. Here is how to do it:

• Launch Steam
• Go to your Library and right-click on Outriders
• Select Properties
• Select the Controller tab
• Now change the setting under “OVERRIDE FOR OUTRIDERS” to “Disable Steam Input”
  
• Restart Steam

And that is all you need to do. Your controllers should work normally now. This fix has already been confirmed to be working by the community members on the official Steam discussions page of Outriders.
