Nier Replicant โ€“ Best Graphics Settings

I have tested different combination of graphics settings, and here is the combination that I think is the best for low-end users. Here are specs of the test system:

  • Processor : Intel i3 9100F
  • Graphics Card : GTX 1050 ti
  • RAM : 16 GB DDR4 3000mhz
  • OS : Windows 10 64-bit (Version 20H2)
  • HDD : 1 TB 7200 rpm
  • Monitor Resolution : 1920ร—1080 144hz
  • Driver : Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver v466.11

Graphics Settings

  • Resolution : 1920×1080
  • Screen Mode : Fullscreen
  • Anti-Aliasing : On
  • Texture Filter : 8x
  • Shadows : Medium
  • Ambient Occlusion : On
  • Reflections : On
  • LOD : Medium
  • Performance Mode : Off

You might notice some fps drops when there is a lot of action on the screen. Otherwise, the game should run smoothly with frame rates ranging from 50-60.

Disable Overlays

Disable every single overlay that you have on right now. Overlays from applications like Discord, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Steam, etc, are known to cause issues in games. So disable all of them.

Clear the temporary junk files on your PC

If your temp folder has too many junk files then it will make your PC feel sluggish. As a result you game would also start lagging. So try cleaning your temp folder

  1. Go to the Start menu on your Desktop.
  2. Press the Windows key+R at the same time.
  3. Type in %TEMP% and press Enter.
  4. Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
  5. Click the Delete key.

Disable Captures

If you didnโ€™t know, there is a new feature in Windows 10 called Captures. And what this feature does is, it enables background recording, so you can capture your previous plays. The feature is a bit like Nvidia Shadowplay. Here is how to turn it off:

  1. Go to Windows Settings
  2. Click on Gaming
  3. Select Captures from the left
  4. Now turn off Background Recording

Extra Fixes

There are a whole lot of other workarounds listed here. If the fixes mentioned here are not working for you then you can try the ones from the other performance guides.
