Guardians of the Galaxy is finally out across all the major gaming platforms. The game has managed to get some decent reviews overall, and is doing quite well so far.
But as we all know, AAA titles are shipped with a ton of bugs nowadays. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has plenty of them as well. The game is from Square Enix, so I am not surprised to be honest. Remember Outriders?
A new bug has surfaced in the game, which is giving controller users a tough time. It looks like the button mapping for some controllers in wrong for some users. This seems to be happening mainly to the Xbox controller users. Check out this post from a Steam user:

Basically what he is saying is, the buttons on his controller have switched functions, which is causing a lot of confusion. There are a ton of comments on the post, where many people are reporting the exact same thing.
How to fix this issue
The good news is, there is a fix available. The fix is very simple, and has been recommended by many members of the community. All you need to do, is turn on Steam Input. Here is how to do it:
- Go to you Steam Library
- Right-click on Guardians of the Galaxy
- Select Properties
- Click on the Controller tab
- Set “OVERRIDE FOR MARVEL’S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY” to “Enable Steam Input”
