Losing a battle comes with its costs. In Lies of P, if you lose a battle, you’ll lose a valuable factor in the game, Ergo. The Ergo resource or currency is something that you can use to make sure that your character keeps getting stronger in the form of upgrades, and if you end up losing it, it’ll hinder your progress, making battles harder.
There’s a way by which you could keep your Ergo safe, or if you’ve already lost it, there’s a way to regain it and if you’re wondering how you could do this, keep reading this article till the end!
How to get Lost Ergo back in Lies of P?
Ergo is used primarily to upgrade your attributes and a few upgrades to your gear: weapons, essentially making it essential to retain in Lies of P. Every time you die with some Ergo on you, you will drop it for entities nearby to collect the same, but even though this happens, there’s a way by which you can regain it. Here’s how:
It’s quite simple. Return to where you just died once you’ve respawned (if possible). If you were in a quest involving many hordes before you got to the point where you were eliminated, they will all respawn, and the chances that you get your Ergo back go down massively. If the same happens in a boss arena, you won’t need to go inside; it’ll just spawn somewhere near the arena, which you can visit and collect.
If you’re trying to recover your ergo but being attacked at the same time, there’s a chance that you take up a certain penalty on your own Ergo, so try to get a safe passage to your Ergo if that’s at all possible. Further, to collect it is quite simple as all you need to do is to spot a blue-colored pile that’ll be visible from a distance due to its vibrancy. Once you’ve spotted it (the harder part’s done), all that remains is to walk up to the pile and hit your interact button.
How to protect your Ergo?
Let’s say you haven’t engaged in combat yet and have a decent bit of Ergo on you. The best thing to do in this scenario would be to use certain consumable items such as Gemini’s Iron Protection or Gemini’s Emergency Protection. Just make sure you use these when you have to, though, as if you’ll be engaging somewhere close by, there’s a higher chance that you’ll be able to walk in to recover the Ergo you’ve just lost.
To finally be able to prevent Ergo loss even if they die, as a last resort, players can use their Quartz as they upgrade the P-organ, resulting in no Ergo loss upon death. To locate this buff, head to the Item tree of the P-organ while you slot a Quartz in an empty node.
That’s everything there is to know about how you could retain your Ergo or get it back in Lies of P.
