Is it possible to get God of War Ragnarok on Playstation Plus?

GOW Ragnarok PS Plus – God of War Ragnarok is all set to release on the 9th of November 2022. The release is getting nearer day by day and the hype too is building up.

The game is a sequel to 2018’s God of War. Players all around the world can’t keep hold on themselves and are eager to embark on the journey of Kratos and Atreus as they travel the nine realms of the Norse world in search of answers.

However, not all the players want to give a hefty $70 for the game. They, therefore, look forward to the subscription services as in PlayStation Plus by Sony.

PlayStation Plus, also called PS Plus, is a platform where players can have access to lots of old and new games, including access to multiplayer.

So, the question at hand remains: Is it possible to get God of War Ragnarok on PlayStation Plus?

Is God of War Ragnarok on PS Plus?

It is with a sad heart that we tell you all that God of War Ragnarök would not be available on the 9th of November (its official launch) on the PlayStation Plus. However, do not be disheartened, as it does not mean that it will never be available in service.

God of War 2018, was made available recently as a free monthly game on the PS Plus Essential Tier and was also available in 2021 in the now-defunct PlayStation Now service.

Also, God of War III, which was previously available as a free monthly game is there in the PS Service’s Premium Tier.

Through streaming, the other games of God of War are also available. So, keeping this history in mind, we can deduce and hope that God of War would certainly be available on the PS Plus in the future.

There is hope, though

Being PlayStation’s one of the premier Franchise, God of War is also one of the most well-known, and therefore raises the chance of Sony putting it on the service.

Firstly, although they might put it on the Premium Tier of the PS Plus to give people a demo by allowing them to play a few hours of the game. This can be said because the ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ which is Sony’s exclusive, that was released in February, had a demo added to the Premium of the PS Plus in May itself and allowed 5 hours of gameplay. Hence, a similar thing might also happen with God of War Ragnarok.

However, if you want to play the whole game on PlayStation Plus, you would have to wait for at least a few years because Sony is very unlikely to put it on the PS Plus right after its launch.

For now, the game officially launches everywhere on the 9th of November on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

That is all that we had on the possibility of getting God of War Ragnarok on PlayStation Plus.
