Like My Time at Portia, My Time at Sandrock takes place in a wholesome post-apocalyptic world 300 years after the Day of Calamity destroyed most modern technologies. You arrive in Sandrock after accepting the job of Sandrock’s newest builder. It is your job to return this rusty city to its former glory. Gather resources to build machines, befriend locals, and defend Sandrock from monsters. All while saving the town from economic ruin.
One of the most important things you should upgrade in My time at Sandrock is your house and the Workshop. Once you update your home and workshop, you will get more space for your decorations. For this, you will have to visit a unique shop because it is the only option in the game from where you can upgrade and expand your home, get new properties and buildings, expand your yards, etc. So this article will guide you on how to upgrade your home during My time at Sandrock.
How to expand your house in My time at Sandrock
To expand your house, you will have to add a chicken coop, barns, and stables. You can also change your roof and make your home bigger. But to do this, you would have to head over to the Construction Junction, which is located between Pete’s and Townhall. The Construction junction is a company where you will be able to buy many things like treasure chests and menus to change or upgrade your house during my time at Sandrock. The construction company is run by Heidi, one of the romancing options in the game. The location of the Construction junction is given in the screenshot down below.
Once you have reached the marked location on the map, you will be allowed to choose how you want to build your house and which direction you want your home to face. The main requirement of upgrading your house is Gols. So make sure you have enough of them. If not, take a look at our guide on how to earn Gols fast in My Time at Sandrock.
Interact with the upgrade store at the Construction junction and choose an item you want to upgrade or change. A window will open showing your house and its process of being upgraded. You can add square footage and roofs and decorate the yard with different signs. You can also add animal buildings to enhance the aesthetics of your house. Interacting with the Architecture menu will also allow you to add floors, roofs, and square footage. The house customization options in this game are much better than Sandrock’s previous installment, Portia. The developers’ customization options and the added gave the game a much more interactive experience.
Once you get to the Structures menu, you will be able to upgrade or add things like barns and coops to build your farm by keeping pets, and livestock into a farming simulation minigame. All you need to do is click the items you want and drag them to place them. The cost of each item will appear at the bottom right of your screen. These upgrades are pretty costly, so make sure you have enough Gols (Sandrock money).
So this was all about how to expand your house during My time at Sandrock.
