Modern Warfare 2 proximity mine – In Modern Warfare 2, Proximity Mines are a kind of Lethal equipment that when you throw them to the ground, as the name suggests ‘proximity’, detonates if your enemy gets near to it.
An enemy’s survival chances are very low if they do so. It is one of the daily challenges that you need to get 3 eliminations using these mines. You will not be able to complete this right away. However, there is a way to do it. Here is a guide to help you with that. To make the Proximity mines undetectable or harder to detect for the enemies, they can be hidden in the vicinity, and they will explode when an enemy comes in touch with it.
How to unlock Proximity Mines and Equip them
Here are step-by-step instructions for you to follow:
- You must first reach level 4 to unlock the custom load-outs, hence unlocking these mines. You can reach level 4 easily by completing the objectives and matches.
- After activating the custom loadouts, head over there and select the Weapons tab.
- Now, select the Multiplayer Loadout option.
- Here now you can create custom loadouts.
- So, go to the Lethal tab and select the Proximity Mine.
- When you load into the game, you will automatically have one of them equipped.
How to get more than one Proximity Mine
If you want more Proximity Mines, to get an additional Proximity mine, equip the Resupply Bonus Perk from the Support Perk Pack.
However, if you want a continuous supply of the Proximity Mines while you are on the field, get the Munitions Box Field Upgrade.
How to use Proximity Mines
It is highly recommended to place the mines where you know there is going to be a lot of enemy activity. Therefore, some of them are :
- Near entrances
- Alleyways and narrow gaps (especially if they can’t go back due to it being a way road)
- Natural bottleneck areas (there are a lot of them)
Keep an eye on the map, and you will find loads more.
