How to access the Sunbreak DLC in Monster Hunter Rise
To get access to the Sunbreak Expansion content you will have to first complete a Hub quest with a 7-star rating. The quest is called the Goddess of Thunder. Once you have defeated Narwa, you will have to find the Trader called Rondine. He can be found on the red bridge in the village. This is the bridge that you will cross once you get into Rise. Post meeting Rondine, she will tell you about a letter from her sister where she says that the enemies and the monsters are terrorizing the kingdom and the neighboring territories as well.
After you have met Rondine, you will meet other NPCs as well, like Master Utsushi, and Fugen the Elder during your initial moments in the Sunbreak Expansion. Then you will be tasked with completing a quest and this will be your first quest in the Sunbreak.
The mission is set in the Shrine Ruins and you will have to takedown Daimyo Hermitaur but you won’t be able to access it until you can have access to the Elgado Outpost.
To have access to the Elgado outpost, first, complete all the urgent quests that are pending at the Gathering hub and once it is completed you can watch a few cutscenes. Once you are back in control, you will need to talk to an NPC called the Dame Fiorayne.
She will be right next to Smithy, and she is the one who will be taking you to the Elgado Outpost. Also, remember that you won’t be able to return to the village once you have started the quests.
