Start Duelling in Hogwarts Legacy – Duelling is a combat between two or more witches and wizards using magic. Duelling involves using your magic spells and chaining them so that it becomes a combo using your Wand. Hogwarts Legacy also includes Duelling, but it is not available to you from the start of the game. This part of the quest will be linked to the main story, so you will get it as you progress through the storyline.

How to start Duelling in Hogwarts Legacy
To start Duelling in Hogwarts Legacy, you will first have to talk to Lucan Brattleby, a student in Hogwarts. You will be able to find him on the main map itself after Professor Hecat gives you an assignment that you need to complete. To complete that assignment, you need to start duelling with the help of Brattleby.
Start talking to Lucan; he will help you start your first Duelling in Hogwarts Legacy. You will be paired with Sebastian for the first round and need to defeat two other duellists.
As soon as the Initiate round starts, start attacking them. You will find them enclosed in a yellow circle. Set your target on them by pressing the Tab button and using the Arrow buttons to change the targets when locked. Use the Levitation or the Levioso spell by pressing Numpad 2 to lift them, and then continue attacking them using your Stupefy spell by pressing the left mouse button.
After completing a Crossed Wands Duel, you will have to attempt another per the objectives. Get back to Lucan Brattleby to help you set up another match. Select the second option when prompted, “Is the next Round of Crossed Wands All Set.” For the second round, you can either go alone or take a partner alongside you. Since you will be alone this time, try using the Accio spell (Numpad 4) to pull them closer and attack them again using a combination of Levioso and Stupefy spells and defeat both of them.
Alternatively, you can practice duelling with a dummy, and you can go to Lucan Brattleby; he will help you set it up for you. Completing the Practice with the dummy can help you get the Spell Combination Practice Quest Competition as a part of a sub-side quest.
After you are done, get back to Professor Hecat, and she will help you learn the Incendio Spell. Incendio is short-range high damage dealing fire attack. You can either practise it inside Hecat’s classroom or return to Professor Fig’s Classroom to continue with the main storyline.
Every time you go back to Lucan Brattleby, he will help you start duelling with other students in Hogwarts Legacy.
