This guide will show you how to start or play the Coiled Captors DLC in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Coiled Captors is here!
The first DLC of Tiny Tina’s DLC is here, and it is called Coiled Captors. The DLC has brought a huge update, followed by a lot of additions and changes. Coiled Captors offers a replayable dungeon challenge, and a brand new boss known as, “Chums”. Chums is an elder god, who has lost all sense of self and devolved into a rampaging beast after being trapped within a seawarg’s body for centuries. The only humane thing to do is put this mad god out of his misery.
Chums has a total of fours forms, and these forms will get unlocked one-by-one every week, with each one being stronger than the last. Here are the forms of Chums and when they unlock:
FORM | TIME OF UNLOCK |
First Form | 9:30 AM PT on April 21 |
Second Form | 9:30 AM PT on April 28 |
Third Form | 9:30 AM PT on May 5 |
Final Form | 9:30 AM PT on May 12 |
Not only that, but the update has brought a ton of new Legendary weapons and gear, which I am obviously going to cover in the coming days. You can check out the patch notes from here.
How to Start or Play the Coiled Captors DLC in Wonderlands
Now, Borderlands games have a history of not offering their new content, straight up. There is always some place you have to visit, or someone, you have to interact with, to be able to play the content. The same is the case with Coiled Captors.
To play the Coiled Captors DLC, you obviously need to have the Season Pass. If you own the Chaotic Great Edition of the game, then you already own the Season Pass. If not, you can purchase the Season Pass or the DLC separately from the market. This is not free content. Now, make sure that your game in not offline, and you have downloaded the latest update.
Coiled Captors can be accessed via Vesper’s first Mirror of Mystery, which is found in the eerie Dreamveil Overlook, just outside Brighthoof on the Overworld. The enemies within have a baseline level of 13, and will scale to your Fatemaker’s level beyond that.
Just open your Overlook, and you should see Dreamveil Overlook just here:
Just go to Overworld, and you can find the entrance to Dreamveil Overlook just near the Green Shrine, on the green grass area. It is the starting area of Overworld. Take a look:
To make it easier, the location is just near the huge soda can. After you find the location, just enter through the portal. If you are on a different part of Overworld, and having trouble reaching the green grass area. Just fast travel to Snoring Valley, which is the starting location of Wonderlands. Run through the entire map, and take the portal to Overworld, located at the very end of Snoring Valley. You land exactly at the green grass area by doing that.
Keep moving forward, until you come by the Wheel of Fate. Just in front of the Wheel you will notice this mirror with the Coiled Captors image on it:
Interact with it, and the mission will start. Also, you might have to interact with the Wheel of Fate once or twice, before you get the chance to interact with the mirror.
