Reset EV Pokemon Scarlet Violet – The games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature combat as a major part of the storyline. Not just storyline per se, but a part of the whole game. Once you defeat a pokemon in the game, you’re rewarded with something called “Effort Value” (EV).
These points help increase the base stats of a pokemon, but if it’s required some time, you might want another go at the pokemon’s stats. To do so, you’ll have to reset its EV. In this article by Frondtech, we’ll guide you on how you can reset the EV of a pokemon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Here’s how:
How to Reset EV in Pokemon Scarlet Violet
The process could actually be a bit time-consuming, this is because you’ll be required to search for certain specific berries for it to work.
Additionally, this is the only way to reset the EV. You’ll have to look for those berries and feed them to the pokemon.
As you probably know, there are different stats for any Pokemon. If we assume the case of the Sp. attack, to lower the same, you’ll have to feed the pokemon a certain type of berry, which’ll get you all of the EV points back. Here’s a complete list of the berries that you need to look for and the stat that they work towards lowering:
- Kelpsy Berry: Attack stat
- Hondew Berry: Sp. Attack stat
- Qualot Berry: Defense stat
- Grepa Berry: Sp. Defense stat
- Pomeg Berry: HP stat
- Tamato Berry: Speed stat
You’ll have to look around for a bit to get these berries. For starters, you’d have a good chance to find some berries in east province areas two and one.
We suggest you start your hunt from there on. Additionally, there are also auction houses that could get you some of these berries. Specifically, there’s a vendor in Porto Marinada Market’s Auction house.
There’s a catch to this, though. You’ll be required to complete the water gym challenge to unlock this feature in the first place. You’ll also be required to participate in the Seaweed bidding auction, which unlocks the auction house for you.
This is worth the effort, as you’ll find a bunch of vendors here that’ll get you important stuff in the game, such as these berries.
NOTE: Each time you feed the pokemon any of these berries, it’ll free up around 10 EV points, which you can use to make the EV edits you desire.
That’s everything there is to know about how you can reset EV in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
