Scourgestone V Rising – V Rising is an indie survival game, where you start your journey as a weak vampire without much power and weapons. It is your main objective to “survive” and make your way to the top, by gathering all the best weapons, gear, and powers in the game.
But to that, you need a lot of resources. Like, A LOT OF THEM! Now, there are resources that are extremely important, and you will often find yourself searching for them vigorously. And there are resources, that have limited uses.
Scourgestone falls under the “Not so important” league. You will not need it very often. But that doesn’t mean it is not a good idea to keep some spare. I am pretty sure that most of the V Rising players got introduced to Scourgestone, as a resource, while crafting Dark Silver Ingot. You need 1x Scourgestone along with 20x Silver Ore to craft it.
Here is how to get Scourgestone in V Rising.
How to Get Scourgestone in V Rising
Scourgestone can be found in various parts of the map. You can get them as normal drops by scavenging or eliminating Casters. If you ask me, the best location to find Scourgestone in Cursed Forest. Go to the Ancient Villages inside the Cursed Forest. Eliminate as many Casters (Skeleton Bishops), and loot as many chests and containers, as possible. Here is the exact location:
If you, however, still manage to not come across any Scourgestone even after visiting these places, you can try visiting the Church of Damned, located in Dunley Farms. This is the only location in the game, that has Scourgestone marked under the “Important Loot” section. Just go there, eliminate all the enemies, and loot everything. Here is the exact location of the Church of Damned:
Also, Scarecrows also drop Scourgestones. They turn into minibosses when attacked. The chances of them turning into minibosses are not that high, though. During my entire play-through of 60 hours, I have attacked close to 6 Scarecrows, and only 1 of them turned into a level 54 miniboss. After being eliminated, it dropped a Scourgestone for me.
Now, the final, and the most reliable way to get Scourgetstone is by crafting your own. If you have already beaten Leandra the Shadow Priestess, then you should have the Scourgestone Recipe. She is a level 46 boss if you haven’t got to her yet, by the way.
To craft a Scourgestone, all you need to do is to head to your furnace. The following items are needed in order to craft 1 Scourgestone:
- Glass (x3)
- Grave Dust (x3)
- Whetstone (x1)
