How to get Root of Nightmares Emblem in Destiny 2

Root of Nightmares emblem – The Root of Nightmares raid of RoN has finally arrived in Destiny 2 with the Lightfall, and a lot of people have already got the Day-1 completion of the Lightfall Raid in Contest Mode, and got their sweet Emblem.

But what about the people who have completed RoN after the Contest Mode ended? Don’t they get their emblem? Of course, they do. In fact, I would say that it is very important you get your normal Root of Nightmares Emblem, as it is going to make your life on LFG a lot easier. You will have proof that you have completed the raid. This guide will show you how you can get the Root of Nightmares Emblem in Destiny 2:

How to get Root of Nightmares Emblem in Destiny 2

Here is how to can get your normal Root of Nightmares Emblem in Destiny 2:

  1. You first need to complete RoN, obviously.
  2. Even if you just eliminate Nezarec, and not do the full raid, it will count as a completion.
  3. You won’t get the Emblem automatically after completing Root of Nightmares, though.
  4. Complete the raid, go back to the orbit.
  5. Open your Character screen by pressing F1 or whatever your Character Screen button is.
  6. Click on the “Journey” tab.
  7. Inside the Journey screen, you will notice two tabs on the right. Titles and Triumphs. Click on Triumphs.
  8. You need to open your Neomuna Triumphs. To do that, click on the third circle from the left titled, Neomuna.

  9. Select “Root of Nightmares” from the left side.
  10. Claim the very first Triumph called Root of Nightmares, and you will get your RoN Emblem.

  11. Furthermore, if you have looted the two secret chests inside Root of Nightmares, go the second page of RoN Triumphs.
  12. Claim the Terraformed Secrets Triumph
  13. You will get the Oxidized Lead, which is the shader reward you get from RoN.

That’s it. That is all you have to do to get your RoN Emblem. Again, it is very important that you get this Emblem and equip it, as long as you are looking to use LFG to run this Raid in the future.

The reason is, just after a week or two, most LFG teams will stop taking in people who haven’t done the Raid yet. You will only see “KWTD” invites. They will invite you, check your emblem, and if they don’t see that you have the Root of Nightmares emblem equipped, they will boot you in a blink of an eye.
