How to get Plank in Raft

Raft throws you and your friends into an epic oceanic adventure! Alone or together, players battle to survive a perilous voyage across a vast sea! Gather debris, scavenge reefs and build your own floating home, but be wary of the man-eating sharks!

The basic building block of infrastructure among some other things in Raft is Plank. You’re going to need it in an early part of the game and probably going to be on the search for it sporadically.

You need them to make structures, weapons, decorations for your raft, and other tools you’re going to need.

In this article, we at Frondtech will guide you as to where you could find Plank and how important a role it plays in the game.

How to get Plank in Raft

Planks in Raft are not craftable, meaning, it’s an entity that you can only harvest or loot from places. Plank can be obtained in Raft in a few different ways.

In my opinion, the best way to get Plank is by chopping down trees. There are many kinds of trees in the raft, and every single one of them will drop planks. However, the amount of Plank you get from a tree varies from tree to tree.

Two of the best trees to look at in the game are Birch trees and Pine trees, they both give 7 units of plank each, which is the most you can get out of a single tree in Raft.

Another way to obtain Plank is by growing trees yourself. This isn’t crafting really, but you have to grow your own farm on your Raft. You get seeds every once in a while when you take down trees to get planks, so, keep an eye out for these, as they could be sown onto your own raft and harvested later sometime in the future to obtain even more planks.

The final method to get Plank involves using a hook or a simple collection net to gather flotsam from the ocean.

Additionally, there are Loot Boxes strewn about the oceans that contain Planks. On Islands or Vacated Rafts that spawn randomly in the water, is basically where you should be looking to find loot boxes or chests.

They contain a variety of things, among which planks are quite common. To find a Vacated Raft, keep a close check on your receiver, you might find some there too.
