Dead Island 2 guns – Developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver, Dead Island 2 has just been released and in the game, you’ll find yourself battling the zombie virus outbreak as you progress through the storyline in the cities of San Francisco and Los Angeles. The game hasn’t completely lost its touch with the original Dead Island series, yet, at the same time, it also has completely different combat mechanics.

How to get Guns in Dead Island 2
You won’t be starting your journey in Dead Island 2 with a gun, that’s for sure, and while that might work for you in the beginning, you will be needing a solid ranged weapon as you progress through the storyline. After completing a few missions, you’ll have the first opportunity towards obtaining a ranged weapon.
This’ll specifically happen when you defeat Nikki Gutte, which is the Justifiable Zombicide’s screaming boss. Once you do manage to finish this fight, you will be meeting with Sam B. This is quite important as Sam B will be your go-to for weapons thenceforward. Winning this fight also unlocks the Curtis safe key. You might need it soon!
This fight definitely won’t be easy. This, of course, depends on what character you’ve chosen to use. But it’s worth it as it’ll determine whether or not you’ll have access to guns. Further, you will be able to have more than one weapon on you in the game. However, the thing to really worry about would be ammunition. Make sure that you don’t use more ammo than you really need to, or you’ll often find yourself scavenging for it.
Types of Guns in Dead Island 2
You’ll be able to acquire a bunch of different types of ranged weapons (guns) in Dead Island 2. Here’s a list of the same:
- Pistol
- Machine Pistol (automatic)
- Revolver
- Shotgun
- Nailgun
- Sporting Gun
- Assault Rifle
- Assault Shotgun
