In a survival game, there are basically two types of loot, like the one you can craft using other basic stuff and then there’s the kind you cannot craft, you just have to go around looking for it which could be quite hectic or time-consuming.
But the thing is both ways, you have to put in at least some effort. One such material or crafting item in Raft, of the second kind is Feathers. They cannot be crafted, which to be honest does make sense, like how will a person craft a feather, off the point nonetheless, you need Feather in Raft to craft certain types of items such as Beds, Hammocks, Paint Brushes, or Metal Arrows.
Via this article, we at Frondtech will guide you as to how you could get your hands on Feathers in Raft, highlighting certain locations and places you should probably pay a visit to if you’re looking for the same.
How to get Feather in Raft
So there are two kinds of Birds in Raft which could get you Feather you’re looking for. The first is the Seagull which flies all-around your Raft, always looking to destroy your little farm. This being the negative point, there’s a way you could make use of them positively. To get Feather in Raft, all you have to do is craft 1x Birds Nest and place it on a wall around your raft. To build a Birds Nest, you need:
- 6x Palm Leaf
- 6x Plank
- 1x Clam
This way, there’s a pretty thin chance that a seagull would come to the nest you’ve placed, and once that happens you get to collect its feathers, but this, of course, is slightly time-consuming, but we’d still suggest you place one around, just because it’d passive-farm feathers over time.
Another way is to just shoot them down which will get you 6x feathers once you harvest them, this is a much easier way, to be honest, might save you a few minutes of time.
The second type of bird in Raft is a Screecher, quite difficult to come by, as compared to seagulls, but on harvesting a dead Screecher will get you 12x Feather, almost double the amount you’d normally get from a seagull.
So, the point to note here is that you should probably prefer eliminating and harvesting birds in order to get more feathers quickly.
