Chipped Old Bone MHR Sunbreak – The new Sunbreak Expansion in Monster Hunter Rise features a new hub area called the Elgado Outpost. The expansion brings new enemies, monsters, and a better set of missions and quests. The game also updated its camera features and introduced the all-new Switch skill swap techniques.
Now, we all know that there are a ton of different types of materials in Monster Hunter Rise. Some are easy to get, while getting some could prove to be an absolute nightmare.
The Chipped Oldbone in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is a Rarity 8 bone used to craft the Master Rank Gore Helmet. The Chipped Oldbone resource can be collected from the Bonepiles in the Citadel region.
If you want to farm for this resource, you must accomplish the “Soft or Spotty” Master Rank 3 Quest. You can also head out for a master rank Expedition to find the Chipped Old bone resource in MHR Sunbreak.
A new location known as the Citadel has been added to the MHR Sunbreak DLC. The region is split into three large areas with 14 zones in total. You will be able to experience a variety of environments in all the different zones. You might come across the rich flora and fauna that surrounds the castle. Furthermore, you will also come across the snowy and icy caverns and the wet swamp regions.
The locations are designed, so you will have to visit these areas several times throughout the DLC. You can also look out for Sub camps in the area to enable fast travel. The Citadel has 12 bone piles locations, all of which have a chance of you getting the resource. But finding a Rarity 8 Chipped Oldbone can be pretty tricky.
So this article will guide you on how to get Chipped Oldbone in MHR Sunbreak.
How to get Chipped Oldbone in MHR Sunbreak
To get the Chipped Oldbone in MHR Sunbreak, you must get to Citadel. But before doing that, ensure you have the Geologist Armor Skill. This skill features three levels.
The first level will allow you to gather extra time from bone piles, the second level will allow you to gather extra time from the points you collect, and the third level will enable you to pick one spare time from mining the outcrops.
But be prepared as you will have a tough time finding the Rarity 8 bone. As mentioned, there are 12 bone piles on the map, but finding them can be tricky. But rest assured, you will need to gather three pieces of Chipped Oldbone to craft the Master Rank Armor.
Here are the locations where you can find Chipped Oldbone:
|Area 12||You will find the bone pile inside the tree, and you can reach there using your Wirebug. There are two other bone piles in the area, and you can access them by taking the secret path in Zone 13.|
|Area 1||You can find the bone pile between Zone 1 and Zone 12 connecting path.|
|Area 8||The bone pile location is underground, and you can access it by taking the cave on the west.|
|Area 10||You will find one bone pile on the north while you can find the other two on the top of the mountain.|
|Area 4 and Area 5||You will find the bone pile in the cave that connects these two zones.|
|Area 6||You can find three bone piles at the top of the hill on the south.|
The Gore Helmet will cost you 1x Chipped Oldbone while the other two oldbones can be used for the Lunagoran Coil. You can either farm for it or take on the Soft or Spotty Master Rank 3 Quest. Once you have completed the quest, there is a chance of 8% of getting the Chipped Oldbone resource as a completion reward. You will have to get to Citadel and take down 15 Gowngoats. This is a time-limited quest, but you can search all the research nodes you can find on the way.
