A bit about the game: Outriders is a cooperative action role-playing third-person video-game that can only be played online.
It was created by People Can Fly and published in Europe by Square Enix. It was made available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia on April 1, 2021.
With the release of its Worldslayer expansion, The DEVs at Outriders have added a brand-new gear tier known as the “Apocalypse gear“.
Since apocalypse gear is now the most effective item in the game, you will naturally want to farm as much of it as you can to get through the all-new endgame part of the game. We’ll guide you as to where you can find it and how you should probably go about it in the game in the paragraphs that follow. 🙂
What is Apocalypse Gear in Outriders Worldslayer
Apocalypse gear can be viewed as a further sub-rarity of the game’s already existing legendary and epic rarity tiers. A third, additional mod for apocalypse weapons and armor levels up their effectiveness. This new mod comes in a variety of forms with different advantages.
Your Apocalypse gear’s mod, however, is entirely dependent on your luck. The mod cannot be altered through crafting because it is already fixed.
Now here’s the dilemma, you’ve got two choices: The random Apocalypse gear you find in Outriders Worldslayer can be the basis for your entire character, to start. Or you can farm Apocalypse gear to find the appropriate mod for the item. It will take a lot of time and effort to complete the farming required for the same, though.
How to get Apocalypse Gear in Outriders Worldslayer
You’ll have access to the apocalypse gear towards the end of the game, so don’t expect to find it at any of the earlier stages. Now that we’ve cleared that up:
By completing Expeditions, particularly the Trials of Tarya Gratar, you can attain the Apocalypse gear. There are two pathways—the main track and the side pathway—in the endgame gauntlet known as The Trials of Tarya Gratar.
You can access a chest at the end of each main Trial if you complete it successfully as a prize. These boxes may also contain Apocalypse gear, and provide loot based on the Tier of Apocalypse Gear that you, at present, possess.
Since the side “Troves” provide specific items as a prize at the end, you can complete them to get what you’re looking for. Now, at the end of this, you’ll come across the final boss, which is the Arbiter of Descent. Quite a hectic job to finish him off, not to mention, good luck with it!
The boss will drop a tonne of loot after being defeated, three of which are legendary tier-3 Apocalypse gear items. However, you can only select one of the three Apocalypse things, so choose carefully.
The farming aspect follows next. But first, it’s crucial to note that you can only utilize this farming technique a maximum of four times since each time you do, one of your lives in the game is expended.
All you need to do to carry out the farm is to gather the loot that the boss drops at the end, then go to your in-game pause menu and choose “Return To Lobby.”
If you choose that option, you will return to your lobby where you can choose to “Continue Game,” which will restart the boss battle if you still have an attempt left, out of the 4 mentioned earlier.
By doing this, you get to keep the stuff you won from beating him earlier and can also defeat him again to obtain new goodies. Not so complicated, is it?
