How to get Animal Hide in V Rising

V Rising is finally here, and people are calling it the “Valheim with Vampires”. Don’t know about anybody else. To me, it kind of feels quite similar, to be honest. Except, V Rising has a top-down view. Unlike Valheim, which has a third-person view. Before we head over to the main topic, a little intro about the game.

V Rising is a Survival game that features Vampires. Your job, as a Vampire, is to Build, Hunt, Conquer, and Rise as a supreme overlord in the world of the living. You begin your journey as a weak vampire and climb your way up to the top level of the hierarchy. Hunt for blood in nearby settlements to regain your strength while hiding from the scorching sun to survive.

You can choose to explore the massive open-world solo or with your friend in the co-op mode. Pillage villages, raid camps, force your way to the different territories. Do whatever you have to, to grow.

Anyway, at the start of the game, the first important thing that you need is Animal Hide. Here is how to get Animal Hide in V Rising.

How to get Animal Hide in V Rising

You come across “Animal Hide” as a crafting requirement, for the first time, during the “Armour of Bones” mission. You need Animal Hide to craft Boneguard Gloves and Boneguard Boots.

The reason why most people are having a tough time finding Animal Hide is that you get the Armour of Bones mission in the starting area of the game. You cannot actually get Animal Hide here. You will only find Bones, Rats, Plant Fibers, etc., in this location.

To get Animal Hide, you will have to exit the starting area and “Enter Farbane Woods”. You can go to either West or East. As soon as you enter the Farbane Woods, you will start seeing animals.

Initially, you will come across Deers and Wolves. All you have to do is either eliminate or feed on these animals, and they will drop Animal Hide. Now, just press “F” or whatever your pickup button is, to pick up the resource.
